Weekend Warriors - Day2

Tearing down this wall seemed such a mighty task. The tightly layered wood, thick plaster and almost 70 years worth of collected dust was slowly peeled away to revealed it's weak, termite eaten core. Not so mighty after all.

Weekend Warriors - Day1

Today was our first weekend warrior day. The camera was not charged, so we only got a couple of pictures. The men spent the day smashing things and the women pruned. A special thanks to Grandpa & Grandma Stanley for their expertise in demolition and gardening, respectively.

Termite Fumigation

We had a termite inspection about 6 months ago, it's hard to believe we've been waiting to close on this house that long. We closed on the 16th and we had them scheduled for the 17th. They showed up early in the morning, got right to work, and by 3pm on the next day the technician called to say the house was clear for humans to enter. I say humans, because most other life in and under the building did not survive the gas including cockroaches, a snake, and probably some rats. The inspection was $75 and the fumigation was $750. I think Cameron termite did a great job, on time, for a good price. Here are some pics, they were so fast I never got to see the house fully tented.
